From track to public roads

Australian Motorcycle News published David “Davo” Johnson’s Savic C-Series road test on 20 June 2025. He rode the Australian-designed and assembled electric motorcycle in Adelaide and the surrounding hills, following earlier track sessions.

What the tester found

Johnson praised its handling and found it manageable in city traffic despite its reported 280kg weight. He experienced heat-related power reduction on track, but not during his road ride. Those observations reflect his test conditions, rather than a guarantee for every rider.

Charging and range

The tested bike lacked DC fast charging. AMCN reported a claimed four-hour charge from empty to 80% using a 15-amp supply. Johnson did not give a firm real-world range verdict because the test bike lacked the latest customer monitoring software.

What New Zealand readers should check

This Australian test does not establish current New Zealand pricing or availability. Before making a buying decision, confirm local supply, warranty support and charging requirements directly with the manufacturer or an authorised seller.
